High Holy Day Tickets Policy 2026 - 5787

We are pleased and fortunate to be joined by High Holy Day members for our services, and we welcome their participation. Because we attempt to keep our annual family membership fees reasonably low, those annual fees paid by our members do not fully cover the cost of clergy and hall rental for the High Holy Days. We rely on the additional High Holy Day membership fees and ask that they be respected.

A full High Holy Day membership is $250; however, you may buy tickets either for Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur services for $125. Also, a single ticket, whether obtained through annual membership or High Holy Day membership, may be shared by several family members if they are attending services on different days. Upon request, High Holy Day membership fees can be applied to annual membership.

  1. Parents of members and children over the age of 24 are not covered by family annual membership fees. They are welcome as High Holy Day members.
  2. All students up to the age of 24 will receive free tickets to services. Adults over the age of 20 who are not full-time students are welcome as High Holy Day members. Please note that those who are age 13 and over must have a ticket.
  3. Members of an out-of-town synagogue; or another Conservative congregation in Ottawa may attend High Holy Day services at no cost, with proof of 2026-27 membership in good standing at their regular synagogue.
  4. Individuals who are unaffiliated with another synagogue are welcome as High Holy Day members.
  5. Due to administrative and security concerns there is a High Holy Day ticket purchase cutoff date of one day before the start of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur for members and their families; and three days before for non-members of Adath Shalom. No person will be allowed into High Holy Day services without prior registration or ticket according to these deadlines.
  6. If High Holy Day membership fees present a hardship, please speak to the Financial Secretary.

Due to the enhanced security arrangements at the Soloway Jewish Community Centre, members must bring govermment photo identification and their tickets to be admitted to the building for High Holiday services.
